Just as Sawada Tsunayoshi was about to speak, a suction force surged forth, the prelude to the crossing.
Whoever it is, thank you.
Sawada Tsunayoshi spoke more rapidly, "You'll know the reason soon. Don't worry, it's a positive outcome, it's just the World 73 merging, it'll be over very quickly."
Only Sawada Tsunayoshi's words remained in the air; the group had already vanished before everyone's eyes.
Fushiguro Toji picked at his ear, watching the farce unfold. He didn't care about any of it; he simply yawned, turned around, said, "So annoying. I'm sleepy, I'm going back to sleep."
Chapter 104: Aftermath
Furuya Rei, also known as Amuro Tooru, who also has the codename Bourbon, is an extremely difficult person to deal with. He belongs to Public Security and serves as an undercover agent within an evil organization known as the Black Organization; his current primary objective is to eliminate the minions of this organization.
Today, after finishing his mission for the Black Organization overnight, he returned to Public Security during the day to handle his duties.
After finishing his daytime tasks and then working through the night, this man was a workaholic who compressed his sleep to only four hours, claiming he had a scientific method to it.
Another day, after finishing his work, he should have entered his rest period, but he was woken up by a phone call.
On the other end was Vermouth, a core member of the Black Organization. Vermouth told him to hurry to a secret base, saying there was a major mission to assign to him.
Amuro Tooru had almost gone a full day without sleep, yet his eyes remained clear, without a trace of fatigue. His mind was racing; just what kind of matter would force him to rush like this, did the Organization have some horrific plan in store? How was he supposed to manage his time to stop it?
A flurry of thoughts raced through his mind, but they did not hinder his movements. After a lightning-fast journey, he arrived at the secret base.
Vermouth was waiting for him inside.
Amuro Tooru tossed the car keys in his hand, his tone dangerous. "Vermouth, you'd better have an urgent mission for me. You should know that interrupting someone's peaceful sleep is quite a sinful thing to do."
Vermouth did not act like her usual self with him; instead, her expression was grave, causing Amuro Tooru's heart to sink.
Just how serious must the matter be to make even this witch show such an expression.
"Alright, alright, you go first, I'm listening." Amuro Tooru sat down beside her.
As Vermouth spoke more, Amuro Tooru's expression became increasingly serious.
She said that although the Black Organization was a large transnational criminal group that seemed to possess great strength and influence, there was always someone better than the best; in reality, every criminal force had a mountain pressing down upon them—the Vongola Family.
The veteran Mafia force, originally from Italy, possesses countless assets and industries. Since its inception, it has sat firmly in the position of the top leader, to this day, it has already transitioned through to the Tenth Generation Leader.
This behemoth had originally sat atop its mountain like a stone, but for some unknown reason, Vongola suddenly began to stir. The Organization sent countless spies to investigate news regarding Vongola, but they gained nothing.
A while ago, Gin was even sent out, but still, no news came back, Gin himself disappeared as well.
This was truly hair-raising; what kind of power could leave Gin helpless and ultimately cause him to vanish into the torrent of darkness?
Finally, the Organization decided to send Amuro Tooru, he had three tasks:
1. Investigate news regarding Vongola to find the reason for their sudden activity.
Two, find Gin.
Three, if necessary, eliminate Gin.
After receiving this news, before Amuro Tooru could even finish preparing, news arrived from the upper echelons of Public Security. A massive criminal organization overseas was about to make contact with their country, they dispatched Amuro Tooru to investigate whether the other party had any malicious intent.
With the two missions colliding and having the same actual objective, Amuro Tooru became even more serious.
What kind of massive criminal organization could it be? It must be extremely vicious. This time, he would have to exert one hundred percent of his focus.
Amuro Tooru set off.
Amuro Tooru went to investigate.
Amuro Tooru found a low-level Vongola employee who had a bit of a background; his family had been working for the Vongola higher-ups for a long time. His position was not high simply because he had joined relatively late, his superiors wanted him to gain some experience first.
Although he hated a certain guy named Rye Whisky, he had to admit that the man's methods were quite effective.
On a quiet night, Amuro Tooru lay in front of a car, listening to a young boy's panicked voice on the phone: "What should I do, Reborn? I think I've hit someone!"
A single sentence came from the other end of the line, the boy roared in anger, "How is it possible? If you're going to reverse and run over them again, are you a demon? If there's still a chance to save them, then obviously they need to be sent to the hospital!"
After that, the man hung up the phone and carried Amuro Tooru to the car to take him to the hospital.
After arriving at the hospital, Amuro Tooru found an appropriate moment to open his eyes and let out a hiss. "Where are we, who are you, who am I?"
Amuro Tooru saw that the boy had soft brown hair, a pair of innocent, bewildered eyes, youthful cheeks. The boy seemed to have nothing to do with the dark world, which made him hate the Organization that had stained such a pure, white youth even more.
The boy seemed stunned, his pupils shrinking significantly, as he murmured, "Amnesia?"
Amuro Tooru frowned appropriately. "Who exactly are you, who am I? Do you know my name?"
Oh no, he actually caused someone's amnesia; he thought this was the kind of plotline that only exists in novels and anime.
A plot like this has a very high probability of appearing in a story about an alien who falls from the sky and becomes a romanceable character!
The boy's face was crumpled in a frown, looking extremely flustered and lost; he pressed Amuro Tooru down into the chair to sit while he himself rushed to a corner to make a phone call.
Amuro Tooru leaned back nonchalantly, shielding the micro-earpiece tucked in his ear.
He heard the boy's muttering, "What should I do, Reborn? He has lost his memory, I've caused a huge mess."
A low, demonic voice came from the opposite side: "Hehe, I told you to just let him crash and die directly. Now the trouble has only gotten bigger, hasn't it?"
The young man spoke somewhat breathlessly, "Stop joking around at a time like this. Do you think it would work if I went to find Mukuro? Otherwise, maybe I should try crashing into him again to see if he can recover."
A magnetic, light chuckle came from the opposite side.
Reborn, I'm being serious!
Reborn gave a light click of his tongue, his tone relaxed. "In that case, you should just let him join Vongola. It can guarantee his livelihood and protect his safety, he can also enjoy Vongola's medical facilities; we will definitely help him recover his memories."
This proposal struck a chord with Sawada Tsunayoshi; he immediately went back to Amuro Tooru, overjoyed, to explain the situation.
Amuro Tooru was ecstatic; this was going too smoothly. As expected, the methods of the evil Rye Whisky were truly effective.
Just like that, Amuro Tooru transformed himself into a mere low-level Vongola employee. Through unremitting effort, he was promoted in just one month, another month later, he had caught up to Sawada Tsunayoshi's position.
The young boy's eyes were filled with admiration: "Mr. Amuro, you are amazing!"
Amuro Tooru gave a subtle smile; this was not enough.
Then he continued to work hard and climb the ranks, quickly gaining the favor of high-ranking officials. His position soon surpassed that of Sawada Tsunayoshi, but the bond between the two of them remained unbroken, Amuro Tooru continued to be his usual, smooth-talking self.
After about a year of undercover work, his career progressed like a speeding train, he soon reached the day when he could have an audience with the Leader.
Amuro Tooru composed himself, his heart racing, looked up with extreme caution at that mysterious Leader.
Then he saw two familiar figures.
The missing Organization top killer Gin, the good boy Sawada Tsunayoshi, an extraordinary, elegant gentleman in a black suit.
Sawada Tsunayoshi gave him a shy smile.
Amuro Tooru!!
Amuro Tooru!!
Amuro Tooru!!
Good heavens, you've got to be joking!
Chapter 105: Aftermath 2
For the ordinary people living in this world, it is both a good era and a bad era.
Mm, Tsukishiro Hanako is an ordinary 19-year-old college student. Today, she is going on a trip with her boyfriend; the itinerary is already set. They will first go to Tokyo, then to Yokohama, finally go abroad to Italy to see castles.
On the plane, Hanako was still a bit worried: "I heard that many strange things have been happening in Tokyo lately. They say ghost creatures have appeared to attack humans, that people have seen two figures fighting in the sky. They also say Yokohama isn't a place for ordinary people because there are many organized crime syndicates there. Kumata, should we change to a different destination instead?"
Her boyfriend, Kumata, gave a comforting smile: "It's fine, Hanako. Those are all just false rumors, nothing more than hype meant to attract tourists. Besides, I will protect you, so there is absolutely nothing to worry about."
Like hell it is!
Actually, this was all part of Kumata's plan. His girlfriend, Tsukishiro Hanako, came from a very wealthy family and was an only child. If he could marry her, he would become part of the elite. Once married, as long as he could manipulate that stupid woman, he would have endless money to spend.
The stupid woman is foolish enough anyway; he only needs to put on a good performance in front of her. It wouldn't matter if he kept any number of mistresses on the side, he could even secretly poison her or hire an assassin to kill Tsukishiro Hanako, so that he could enjoy her family's wealth more openly.
This travel itinerary was also something he had planned long ago, specifically choosing dangerous routes so that he could increase the intimacy between the two of them. By using a few small tricks to play the hero and save her, Tsukishiro Hanako would surely find herself unable to live without him, hahaha.
As for the danger, he had checked it in advance; there was some risk involved, but it wasn't as severe as the rumors suggested. He still felt it was mostly hype.
So when they were blocked by a strange creature in some corner of Tokyo, Kumata was dumbfounded. Who could tell him what this unknown, madness-inducing creature with many eyes and tentacles was, or why no one had told him that this world had entered a fantasy dungeon?
The priority was to quickly push his girlfriend out to be eaten by the monster, in order to buy him time to escape.
Before he could make a move, three figures descended from the sky: a tall white-haired man, a tall black-haired man, a brown-haired man with spiky hair of medium height.
The hedgehog-haired boy complained, "So why do I have to learn jujutsu? Ugh, they look so scary."
The white-haired man laughed loudly. "Miss Sawada, you should just stop resisting; you're no match for Reborn's heavy hand."
The hedgehog-haired man grumbled, "Damn it, as Leader, I have no authority at all; I can't even command Reborn."
The black-haired man narrowed his eyes: "Look on the bright side; at least when you're on missions with us, you can temporarily escape Reborn's control."
The hedgehog-haired man: "Hehe, I hope so. No one knows if Reborn will suddenly pop out from some corner wearing some inexplicable outfit."
It sounded unreliable, but in reality, they were quite dependable. After the three of them dealt with the monster, they let the young couple go out.
Hanako was very grateful to them and thanked them repeatedly. The two sides had a friendly conversation, while Kumata was lost in a state of shattered worldview.
The young couple was startled and decided to rest in a Tokyo Outstanding Citizen Representative hotel for one night before setting off again. However, something eerie occurred; a corpse had appeared in their room, hanging from the chandelier directly opposite their door.
Tsukishiro Hanako's scream triggered the chaos, Kumata instinctively moved to protect her, while he himself trembled uncontrollably.
The police arrived quickly, led by a tall officer accompanied by an elegant, cat-eyed officer, with a spiky-haired officer following behind them.
Sawada Tsunayoshi: ".."
Kumata: ".."
Even Hanako was no longer afraid: ".."
The three of them just stared at each other, each feeling that something was wrong.
Tsukishiro Hanako asked cautiously, "May I ask, Mr. Tian, do you have a twin brother?"
Sawada Tsunayoshi replied with a blank expression, "No, I just have a lot of part-time jobs."
