What does this mean? Kusunoki raised his head again, only to be startled by the expression on Kakashi's face.
His expression was completely dazed, as if dozens of burly men had just stomped all over his face and then stomped back again.
"Can you tell me exactly what happened?" Kusunoki expressed a bit of interest and began to ask.
There isn't much that can't be said," Kakashi replied. After all, this wasn't the Shinobi World, so no one was aware of those earth-shattering wars of theirs. "First of all, a very respected elder and someone from an opposing force have had a child.
Romeo and Juliet," Kusunoki thought. "Are these two people of high status?
“The status of these two is similar to.." Kakashi thought for a moment, searching his memory for a figure both of them would know to use as an analogy, "Your Red King and Blue King being together."
"Oh, I see." Kusunoki nodded calmly.
"Why aren't you surprised?" Kakashi couldn't understand; wasn't this kind of news absolutely explosive?
Because the two of them were already together," Kusunoki replied. "Otherwise, why do you think Suoh Mikoto has been staying by the Blue King's side without returning? It's not like we don't have detention here.
I simply don't know enough about this world," Kakashi said, running a hand through his hair. "Fine, the Blue King and the Red King had a child—and it was your Red King who gave birth to it. Just think about how much of an impact this child will have on both of your factions.
That sounds like it might be a bit of a problem," Kusunoki frowned. "Fortunately, both of them are male, so they can't give birth.
I don't think so." Kakashi leveled the score, turning to lean against the bar under Kusunoki's puzzled gaze. "And then my two students went and had a child too.
"Naruto and Sasuke had a child.. Can men from your world give birth too?" Kusunoki Izumo finally processed what had been said.
How do you know my disciples are named Naruto and Sasuke?" Kakashi turned his head sharply. "Wait, how do you know I come from another world?
“Just a guess,” Kusunoki said, setting down the glass he was wiping. “Your two students—one with blonde hair and one with black hair—are exactly like the ones on TV. Add to that your claim that TV series was written by your elementary school classmate, it's not hard to figure out.”
So it's not hard to guess their names." Kusunoki pulled another glass from under the bar and began to wipe it. "As for the fact that you come from another world, so many powerful people suddenly appeared.. combined with that novel written under your name, people aren't stupid.
True enough." Kakashi leaned back against the bar. "But I have to state for the record, men in our world can't have children either; they are special cases, unable to reproduce.
Is it really impossible?" Kusunoki's tone was somewhat regretful. "I think it would be quite interesting.
"I don't think so.." As Kakashi spoke, he suddenly remembered hearing before he came here that Orochimaru seemed to be researching a related project; with this man's strength, he might actually succeed.
“Probably not..” He lowered his voice, feeling a bit guilty.
Kusunoki didn't dwell on that, "Will you return to your original world?"
"I don't know either." Kakashi sighed; he didn't even know how he had arrived here, let alone how to go back.
"So, are you moving out?" Kusunoki asked next.
Today was too much of a shock; I need to recover," Kakashi said, shaking his head. He then cracked another joke, "Are you trying to drive me away?
Of course not." Kusunoki held the glass in his hand up to the light to examine it, "I just feel like you probably won't stay for long, after all, your companions aren't here.
Perhaps." Kakashi's eyes curved into crescents again as he thought about the various professions a group of people had suggested for him today. "This world is truly interesting.
"Of course." Kusunoki handed him a prepared drink.
