Tanikawa Shinji was fuming with rage, his shiny bald head turning red as he rolled up his sleeves, ready to rush forward and pick a fight:
You crazy woman, you're as punchable as ever..
Seeing this, Chihiro Chiba hurriedly dropped his milk tea and hugged Tanikawa Shinji:
Uncle! Uncle Tanikawa! Calm down! Private brawling within Jujutsu High will lead to disciplinary action!
Tanikawa Shinji reached for his boning knife. "To hell with the disciplinary action! Today, I'm going to settle all these years of grievances with her!"
Cai Ming leisurely admired her manicure: "Chihiro-kun, why do you care about him? That bald guy never learns his lesson."
Chihiro Chiba glared at Tanikawa Shinji, his squinting eyes widening from the sheer force of his gaze. "Sister Cai Ming, I'm begging you, please, say a few less words."
He kicked aside the deboning knife, gritted his teeth, dropped a bombshell:
Uncle Tanikawa, you really can't cause trouble today! Mr. Suzuo's schedule for today includes an inspection of the Treasury. If he catches you causing trouble, all the benefits you've earned over the years will be gone!
Tanikawa Shinji's movements paused, his distorted expression cooled, he turned back to look at Chihiro Chiba:
How did you know?
Chihiro Chiba felt guilty. "Actually, I met Mr. Suzuo two months ago. He asked me to handle the leftover issues of the Chiba Family, so.."
Cai Ming covered her mouth with her hand, her words implying something, "Heavens, don't tell me you're the only one who knows nothing?"
Big Boss is hosting a super luxurious meeting next week, all the employees will attend. Guess who hasn't been invited?
Cai Ming stood up and waved at the twins holding hands outside the glass window.
Tanikawa Shinji's expression shifted repeatedly; with a sour look on his face, he bent down to pick up his boning knife and walked out the door.
The twins crowded into the shop after him, like birds returning to their nest, they lunged into Cai Ming's arms, both of them calling out "Sister Cai Ming" in a sweet tone.
Cai Ming patted their heads one by one and pointed to the table at the very back of the cafe, "Go say goodbye to Suguru-senpai and the others; the next time we meet will be after the New Year."
Everyone snapped out of the farce, their necks stiff as they moved toward the two young girls with awkward, jerky steps, looked toward the corner.
A phoenix-eyed youth with black hair tied in a bun, a young girl with slightly long hair and a beauty mark under her eye, a white-haired youth wearing sunglasses, who was being blocked by them.
The trio that everyone in the Jujutsu World knows.
The group of people who had been happily gossiping just a short while ago had their expressions change, one after another, they began making all sorts of excuses, fleeing the scene in a flash.
Suguru Geto gave Mimiko and Nanako each a piece of packaged small cake.
Waving goodbye, he watched the two kids leave with Cai Ming. The gentle smile vanished from his face, replaced by an expression of profound, weary melancholy.
To be honest, I really can't accept this right now.
Suguru Geto wiped his face, doing his best to avoid looking at Satoru Gojo's open collar, said in pain, "How did you actually end up in a relationship?"
Nobara Iori leaned back in her chair, tilting her head to look at the ceiling, unwilling to spare even a single glance for Satoru Gojo.
“Suguru, I support you playing the second male lead right now to steal Satoru away, as long as you move this eye-searing thing out of my sight, I'll do anything for you.”
No one wanted to see the sweet marks on his neck, no one was interested in the exaggeratedly sweet plot he had amplified at least tenfold.
Showing off their love will bring a lightning strike!
Suguru Geto gave a mirthless smile. "I really appreciate you pushing me into the fire. You truly are a great classmate of mine."
Just like Satoru Gojo, he is a bad person who refuses to act human.
Satoru Gojo slammed the table in frustration, the golden pendant hanging from his neck swaying as he moved:
What are you doing, what are you doing? I came here with a heart full of joy to discuss the wedding details with my dearest friends, sincerely inviting you all to be my groomsmen and bridesmaids, this is how you treat me?
Nobara Iori closed her eyes. "I'm begging you, is it you or Mr. Suzuo who is going to wear the Shiro-muku?"
“You need a Jujutsu Sorcerer best man, a priest, an Onmyoji? Are you trying to make us start a fight in the church because of religious differences?”
Suguru Geto pressed a hand on Satoru Gojo's shoulder. "I know you're excited, but don't get worked up yet. Just follow Mr. Suzuo's arrangements, okay?"
Satoru Gojo was cornered by the two of them, he listlessly put down the wedding photo template on his tablet.
If I had listened to Suzuo, we would have already registered our marriage by now.
He said with sweet frustration, "He is so enthusiastic."
Suguru Geto and Nobara Iori both rolled their eyes in unison.
If you don't get to the point soon, we're really leaving.
In any case, if help is truly needed, Mr. Suzuo will contact us directly.
Satoru Gojo curled his lip, swiped away the wedding dress on the tablet, replaced it with a new work document.
There are a few Cursed Spirits here that require special attention; they might not have been born yet, or they might not have been detected by [Windows] because they are too weak at this stage.
In short, it is inconvenient to spread this information on a large scale; you need to remain vigilant.
“These are just rough materials. Once Suzuo arrives in a while, he will explain everything to you in detail.”
Suguru Geto skimmed through a few pages and roughly understood what Kobe Suzuo meant.
The balance between Cursed Spirits and Jujutsu Sorcerers is a fundamental law; as the strength of individuals like Satoru Gojo grows year by year, the newly born Cursed Spirits will also become increasingly powerful.
Cursed Spirits are exorcised, even stronger Cursed Spirits are born, falling into an unsolvable vicious cycle.
Kobe Suzuo could not find a way to eliminate Cursed Spirits, but he could exploit a bug to prevent them from dying, finding ways to imprison Cursed Spirits in a containment facility for harmless disposal.
He had long ago proposed a new energy hypothesis regarding Cursed Spirits.
Now that the big villain is gone and the settlement issue has been resolved, it is time to deal with the issue of Cursed Spirits.
After Satoru Gojo finished reading the reports from Suguru Geto and Nobara Iori, he continued:
There is one more thing, regarding Ryomen Sukuna.
Chapter 101: Unresolved Issues
The Jujutsu High Treasury.
Guided by Merlin, Kobe Suzuo walked to the end of the corridor, where the sensor door opened automatically after identifying his biological information.
Before he could even react, the cold white light above his head suddenly shifted, the dust flying toward him struck him directly in the face.
Kobe Suzuo retreated several steps in succession, after his coughing subsided, he looked toward the interior of the warehouse with a deep frown.
The light was dim, the recessed lighting in the ceiling flickered as if there were a poor connection.
Tiny particles of dust floated in the air, the damp, cold, musty stench was impossible to ignore. In the silent space, the faint "drip-drip" sound of water falling could even be heard.
It didn't look like a modern storage room that had undergone several rounds of renovation, but rather like a long-abandoned mad scientist's laboratory.
Kobe Suzuo stood in place, her expression alone making it clear that she was extremely dissatisfied with the cleanliness of this place.
It looked as if he would be unable to suppress his emotions in the next second, opening his mouth to fire all the personnel in charge.
Merlin sighed and explained, imitating Dr. Cohen's tone:
“The Treasury contains nothing but sinister objects. The ones outside that can be controlled are manageable, but the cursed energy leaking from those inside has completely exceeded the containment capacity of our current stage of technology. With our current level of technology, this is the best we can do.”
Merlin failed to connect to the Treasury to adjust the lighting and the environmental control system, said helplessly:
“It's magnetic field interference, the electronic equipment is malfunctioning. Staying in there too long makes ordinary people prone to getting sick. In short, it's just like a haunting.”
Kobe Suzuo said with a cold face, "This wasn't in the project progress report or the final acceptance report."
Merlin paused for two seconds, searched through the engineering records and handover reports from that time, provided an explanation:
After the classification of the Treasury, there are only a few cursed objects, such as Sukuna's Finger and the Cursed Womb, which are special enough to cause strange phenomena.
Besides, the people entering and exiting the Treasury are all Jujutsu Sorcerers. This minor issue isn't a big deal and can't be resolved anytime soon, so it has been put on hold for now.
Kobe Suzuo's original intention in renovating the Treasury was to take the opportunity to open up access to Cursed Tools, thereby enhancing the combat strength of low-level Jujutsu Sorcerers.
Cursed Tools are scarce and expensive, most are monopolized by old families like the Three Great Families, but it must be said, they are incredibly useful.
To give an inappropriate example, look at Fushiguro Toji; when that guy was at his most degenerate and destitute, he didn't even think about selling those sky-high-priced Cursed Tools to live off the money.
With Cursed Tools as a baseline, a Jujutsu Sorcerer can ensure their safety while gaining the ability to fight against higher-grade Cursed Spirits.
Aside from the potential for damage and the fact that it is not very friendly to the actual owners of the Cursed Tools (Elders), it is practically a win-win for all parties.
The modern style and the use of technology in the Treasury are all for the sake of convenient management, as well as a tiny bit of Kobe Suzuo's pursuit of decency.
As for the current effect..
I'll deal with that later; at least the most fundamental goal has been achieved.
Kobe Suzuo glanced at the treasury, which looked like a set from a horror movie, expressionlessly pulled a pack of masks from his pocket. He tore one open, put it on, then stepped inside.
The glass counters and the transparent barriers on the walls were covered in a thin layer of dust, making the objects inside blurry and indistinct.
The lights flickered, some of them simply stopped working altogether.
Kobe Suzuo felt as if he were about to have an allergic reaction to the dust.
He still maintained an expressionless face as he walked to the center of the room and stopped before the large glass wall.
The bright yellow barrier faintly lit up as Kobe Suzuo approached, illuminating the layers of runes surrounding her.
Dark purple fingers, withered like wood, were neatly arranged on the wall.
Out of the eighteen fingers, one was consumed when Itadori Yuji was born as a vessel, another was later eaten to complete the incarnation.
All twenty of Sukuna's Fingers are right here.
Some were collected by Merlin through bounties, some were snatched from Cursed Spirits by Jujutsu High Sorcerers.
The rest were all swindled from one of Sukuna's followers, a Sorcerer named Uraume.
“Merlin, disable the anti-theft system and lift the restrictions.”
After issuing the command, Kobe Suzuo placed the mahogany box he had been carrying on the ground, took out his gloves to put them on, tapped the frame of his glasses with his index finger.
Let's begin.
He removed the fingers one by one and placed them into a box, then silently left the Treasury.
..
Itadori Yuji stepped out of the elevator, his eyes stinging from the sudden change in light, instinctively squinted.
