Chapter 108(1 / 1)

He was not a picky person to begin with, he was even more casual when it came to his own affairs.

As for the strain the Six Eyes places on the brain, one gets used to it; once one learns the Reverse Cursed Technique, one becomes even more indifferent to it.

Even Satoru Gojo himself doesn't care much about it, so what kind of cursed tool is this time-consuming, flashy, girl-pleasing thing?

His blindfold, Suguru Geto's prayer beads, Nobara Iori's mask, the kids who ran around Jujutsu High—most of them possessed one or two cursed tools like these, which were difficult to trace back to their origins upon closer inspection.

In reality, they were all bought with Kobe Suzuo's money.

Satoru Gojo put the sleeping mask into the storage box and replied casually:

Suzuo helped me send it for repairs. After all, it was a gift from him, so she knows exactly how to handle it.

When he was showing off his affection, he stopped crying and wailing, sucking on a lollipop with a sweet expression, practically radiating pink bubbles all over.

It was as if he were saying, "I sent the clothes my wife bought to be washed; after all, they were bought by my wife, she knows which shop to go to for after-sales service."

All the juniors, except for Ijichi Kiyoshi, scattered in a swarm.

Everyone had gathered to feast on the gossip about Satoru-senpai, but now that the gossip was gone, they weren't particularly interested in eating dog food.

Nobara Iori cleared the wine glasses and flowers from the table and rearranged her seat, asking with little interest, "So, what did you come to see us for today?"

After a thorough cleansing by the Director's Department, the main decision-makers in the upper echelons became so-called lower-class individuals who had been selected by Merlin and promoted by Kobe Suzuo due to their background and cursed energy.

With Merlin's assistance, with the existence of Cursed Spirits being made public, the government has intervened. Although the Director's Department is still a makeshift organization, it is much better than when the old geezers were in charge, doing nothing and only causing trouble everywhere.

After the intelligent office system was established, various handovers became much more convenient, there was no longer a need to travel frequently between mission sites and Jujutsu High.

Satoru Gojo himself disliked these procedures, once this regulation was issued, he took advantage of it to the extreme—this was how he frequently skipped class without ever being punished.

Nobara Iori drank the cola, asked the chef in the kitchen to pour her a glass of fine wine, then continued asking:

You haven't taken any important missions lately that would require you to return to school. Instead of properly staying by Mr. Kobe's side, why are you running around everywhere?

Suguru Geto gave Satoru Gojo a suspicious look and said uncertainly, "It couldn't be that he's actually become so obsessed with getting married that he's come to us for advice, can he?"

Satoru Gojo looked up.

Suguru Geto gave a deathly smile, "If you dare say yes, I'll throw you out right now."

Satoru Gojo sighed, "You all are truly too mean to me."

Suguru Geto's Cursed Spirit warned, "Where? It's just that as you get older, instead of becoming more mature, you're just becoming more punchable."

The chef in the kitchen placed a neat whisky in front of Nobara Iori, took away the tableware from the table, cleared the tabletop while he was at it.

Satoru Gojo glanced at the time, took out his waist bag, pulled out small boxes from it, handing them separately to Suguru Geto and Nobara Iori.

Suzuo said it would be a hassle if you didn't keep them with you lately.

Inside the box was the [Changxia] that had been handed over to Satoru Gojo before; it looked no different from before.

Just as Suguru Geto was reaching out to take it, Nobara Iori let out a sound of confusion.

Is this.. a Fox Mask?

Satoru Gojo rested his chin on one hand and said as if it were the most natural thing in the world, "Protective Cursed Tools are indeed more convenient to carry when they are smaller."

Suzuo is really thoughtful, isn't she?

Nobara Iori took the "transformed" Cursed Tool out of the box, its silver fine chains adorned with exquisite golden leaves swaying in the air.

It's Eucalyptus, very much in the style of a gift from Mr. Suzuo.

She looked at Satoru Gojo, "Does this mean you're giving it to us completely?"

Satoru Gojo nodded, "Yeah, Suzuo said it's the reward we deserve. A thank-you gift will be prepared separately later."

Nobara Iori did not refuse either, simply putting the necklace into a box and putting it away.

Then I'll call it Eucalyptus from now on.

Suguru Geto put Changxia back on his wrist and asked as usual, "Why is it a thank-you gift? Or is this also to be kept secret?"

Satoru Gojo had already stood up, lazily stretching his limbs, began to mimic Kobe Suzuo to brush him off:

Don't worry, I won't harm you, you might find out everything in no time.

Nobara Iori rolled her eyes in exasperation and complained, "People who speak in riddles should just be silenced with poison."

As they were talking, a sudden commotion erupted within the cafeteria.

Heavens, there's a helicopter on the school helipad!

Don't make a fuss. Our school has three helicopters in total.

“It's different. I heard it was a private helicopter, a super flashy man stepped out of it. Here, a photo.”

Holy crap, it's like they're filming a TV drama here. Where did this domineering CEO come from?

Hey, does anyone else think this guy in the trench coat looks a little familiar?

A little, I feel like I've seen him somewhere before.

Wait, isn't that Satoru-senpai's boyfriend?

Incredible, as expected of Satoru-senpai, he really is dating a Young Master.

Then this Kobe, could he really be the Kobe we were guessing?

After Satoru Gojo finished replying to Kobe Suzuo's messages with a series of pings, he waved happily at his two peers.

Suzuo is coming to pick me up, so I'm heading out first.

Chapter 96: Those Dreams

Where is the doctor?

Hurry up, don't delay!

Guards! A Cursed Spirit has broken in!

Second Squad has already been sent to the backyard. What on earth is happening? Why is there such a massive commotion..

Shut up. This is not something you or I can pry into.

Clan Head!

The noise grew louder, the blurred scene gradually became clear.

The man in a Kimono took large strides, moving through the corridor at an incredibly exaggerated speed, while the servants behind him followed in a hurried trot, their heads bowed in anxiety.

The procession arrived in a grand procession. Kobe Suzuo could not dodge in time and thought he was about to collide with the approaching two-meter-tall giant, but the man simply "passed through" his body.

The scene shifted in an instant, by the time he regained his senses, his vision was locked onto a small courtyard.

“Are you sure?”

The man in the lead spoke up to ask.

It's the Six Eyes.

Someone answered.

Kobe Suzuo understood something in a daze and turned his head to look into the room.

Pure white, with hair and eyelashes like fallen snow, the angel-like child lay quietly in a similarly pure white swaddle.

He looked very light, like a cloud, as he was picked up and handed respectfully and carefully into that man's arms.

Kobe Suzuo saw the child frown, looking as if he were about to cry, yet he only opened his eyes quietly.

Azure, like a gemstone or the wings of a Blue Morpho, as if the boundless sky and the ocean were both hidden within them.

Those eyes slowly turned, looking toward the position where Kobe Suzuo stood, the pupils dilating slightly, giving the round eyes a touch of liveliness, like those of a young kitten.

Kobe Suzuo almost thought he was looking at her.

But in the next instant, the gray-purple, shell-covered insectoid legs lashed out through the air, a hideous Cursed Spirit appeared, it launched a sudden attack.

The prepared guard unit drew their weapons and rushed forward, chaos erupted once again, as the shrieks of Cursed Spirits and the shouts of humans filled the entire courtyard.

Finally, whether feeling exhaustion or simply being annoyed by the noisy environment, the child who had been quietly observing their surroundings wrinkled their nose and began to cry loudly.

Amidst the baby's cries, the man laughed loudly and announced to those present:

This child shall be named Satoru Gojo.

..

Kobe Suzuo woke up with a start from his dream, as if he had fallen from a great height, the intense sensation of weightlessness brought about a series of physiological reactions.

He gasped heavily, a layer of cold sweat breaking out over his body.

For a moment, Kobe Suzuo could not tell where she was. She spread her hands over her eyes, only after her heartbeat slowed and the dizziness passed did she sit up straight.

A small, warm yellow lamp by the bed slowly lit up, casting light on half of Kobe Suzuo's face, making his features appear soft in the ambient glow.

He pulled open his robe and took a look; the pattern on his side had already mostly recovered, the fragmented and blurred golden Balloon Flower spreading and unfurling like a healing wound.

The recovery process of the mark remained steady; this strange dream had no impact on Kobe Suzuo's return plan.

He covered his face and let out a long sigh, the unease caused by the dream gradually dissipating.

Did you have a nightmare?

Kobe Suzuo froze, startled by the man's voice that suddenly rang out in the room.

He suddenly looked up, his gaze fixing on a corner of the room that the nightlight could not reach.

A pitch-black shadow stood in the darkness, like a black cat, almost merging with the surrounding blackness.

Only when he moves can his position be discerned by that white hair and those unique eyes.

Kobe Suzuo finally realized whose voice that was.

He lifted the covers and sat on the edge of the bed, his voice slightly hoarse as he spoke, "When did you get back?"

“I forgot, maybe eleven o'clock?”

It's already three in the morning.

Oh, I didn't even notice.
