Chapter 7(1 / 1)

Nobara Iori, hold him down.

“Understood.”

Nobara Iori rolled up her sleeves and swiftly pinned Satoru Gojo's shoulders; taking advantage of his lack of preparation, Suguru Geto released a Cursed Spirit and snatched Satoru Gojo's phone.

He turned on the screen, as expected, there were several unread messages from [Rich Young Master].

He had said that Satoru Gojo was acting uncharacteristically quiet today.

"No way, Gojo, you're actually avoiding a mission?" Nobara Iori's eyes widened.

What kind of mission is that even supposed to be!" Satoru Gojo tried to explain, shouting, "Do you guys even understand? It's torture—pure torture!

His classmates clearly did not understand.

Suguru Geto and Nobara Iori exchanged a look, wearing the kind of smiles one only shows when persecuting a classmate.

The two of them grabbed Satoru Gojo from both sides, using the same technique one uses to catch a cat to drag him downstairs.

Geto, as a fellow strongest, you must be able to understand me, right? I'd rather kill a hundred Cursed Spirits than go to a place like that!

Suguru Geto remained unmoved as he carried him, "You should at least explain exactly what kind of occasion that is."

Nobara Iori was short and could not keep up with Satoru Gojo at all; her long legs dragged along the ground as she walked.

Hurry up, Supervisor Kobe is waiting for you.

The three of them made a ruckus as they headed downstairs.

The bodyguard, being very perceptive, immediately opened the car door, allowing a gust of cold air to rush out. Suguru Geto grabbed Satoru Gojo by the collar and tossed him directly into the back seat.

Upon seeing Kobe Suzuo sitting on the other side of the back seat, Satoru Gojo, who had only been throwing a tantrum to stall for time, completely deflated.

The bodyguard closed the car door and took out two gift bags from the passenger seat, handing one to Suguru Geto and the other to Nobara Iori:

These are souvenirs Mr. Suzuo prepared for you.

Without giving the two of them any time to react, he handed over the souvenirs and then sat in the driver's seat.

“Mr. Suzuo, are you ready to depart?”

Kobe Suzuo rested her chin in her hand and glanced at the youth whose head was leaning against the car window. "Satoru-kun, are we heading out?"

"Eeeh—" Satoru Gojo let out a long, drawn-out sound.

I don't want to go at all. Will Mr. Suzuo let me get off the car?

Kobe Suzuo shook her head. "No, if Satoru-kun doesn't attend, I'll be questioned by the higher-ups."

Satoru Gojo glanced sideways at Kobe Suzuo before falling silent and looking out the window.

When he wasn't speaking, his entire being was cold, like the snow on a glacier, possessing an intimidating aura.

But Kobe Suzuo was clearly different from those Supervisors who trembled in fear the moment they saw Satoru Gojo's cold face.

The man gave a light chuckle and raised his hand, the car started.

The location for the exchange meeting hosted by the Director's Department was at a shrine in the outskirts of the city, not far from Jujutsu High.

They invited the heads and successors of the Three Great Families and the first-rate clans, ostensibly for the purpose of exchange and exploring the future development of the Jujutsu World.

It sounded plausible, but Satoru Gojo knew even without being told exactly what kind of scene it would be.

Since the coming-of-age ceremony before his enrollment, the Gojo Clan had been sensible enough to stop requesting Satoru Gojo's attendance at meaningless social activities.

Of course, even if they made a request, Satoru Gojo would simply ignore it.

Dressed in fine clothing, he was scrutinized by "monsters" who appeared human on the outside but were long ago corrupted within, as if he had been placed upon an altar to receive the filthy malice of the mortal world.

Satoru Gojo had seen through the true nature of such gatherings long ago, he felt a deep-seated sense of disgust in his heart.

He rarely attended gatherings of the Three Great Families, he avoided activities led by the Director's Department whenever possible.

If the Assistant Supervisor coming to pick him up hadn't been Kobe Suzuo, Satoru Gojo would have vanished long ago; he never would have given anyone the chance to catch him.

Satoru Gojo leaned listlessly against the car window, the shadows of the trees flickering across the young man's face; anyone could see that he was in a foul mood.

Is Supervisor Kobe trying to win over the Gojo Clan?

The young man's voice was exceptionally clear within the carriage, "For that mysterious Director Kobe of your clan?"

Chapter 6: That God's Child

Kobe Suzuo is a very strange person; he possesses the qualities of the upper echelon, yet he is distinctly different from the old man.

Flashy, self-centered, truly unconventional.

Under the Six Eyes, every movement of Kobe Suzuo was incredibly clear.

The man put down the tablet in his hands, his brows furrowed with confusion, but his gaze toward Satoru Gojo was unfocused and hollow.

Why would Satoru-kun think that?

As if finally sensing that something was wrong with the atmosphere, Kobe Suzuo smiled peacefully and explained:

I am just a slightly wealthy Assistant Supervisor; saying that I like Satoru-kun is just a matter of liking him, there is absolutely no other meaning to it.

When the words "slightly wealthy" came out, the corner of Satoru Gojo's mouth twitched.

Hearing the words "like," that "temper" from the restaurant last time began to flare up again.

Kobe Suzuo adjusted her glasses. "You haven't known me for very long, have you, Satoru-kun? Perhaps if we spend more time together, you'll find that I'm a reliable adult worth trusting?"

A master of changing the subject, a fox with a mind full of twists and turns.

With his interest left in a state of limbo, Satoru Gojo curled his lip and pointed toward the dense vegetation and ancient paths outside the window:

“You're really not going to tell me, Mr. Kobe? I came to this crappy place specifically to see the old Oranges just for you.”

Kobe Suzuo blinked, "Wow, I'm so touched. To think Satoru-kun would actually be so considerate of me."

He pulled out his phone and tapped a few times on the screen, his dark eyes filled with sincerity:

As a token of my gratitude, let me treat Satoru-kun to a meal after the meeting ends!

Why is this person thinking about treating people to meals every single day? Is he addicted to treating people?

I don't want to eat with a frivolous man who says 'like' to everyone.

It's not about being 'everywhere'; in my heart, Satoru-kun is the most special one.

Kobe Suzuo spoke as her figure suddenly drew closer.

The scent on him had changed again, appearing exceptionally refreshing in the already sweltering summer heat.

The car window slowly lowered a narrow crack, Kobe Suzuo leaned forward to hand an invitation marked with a Cursed Energy seal from Satoru Gojo's side before pulling her arm back to its original position.

She didn't touch Satoru Gojo at all throughout the entire process, appearing to have a very good sense of propriety.

The barrier opened, the Porsche slowly drove through the first torii gate.

The man's voice was low, "I came to this world for you."

Kobe Suzuo's heartbeat was steady, his Cursed Energy fluctuations were as peaceful as ever; he was not lying.

His blue eyes were half-lidded. ".. Changing classic lines like that is also disgusting."

Satoru Gojo stopped talking to Kobe Suzuo, once the Porsche came to a complete stop, he pushed open the car door and headed toward the main hall with a "ruthless stride."

The crowds walking leisurely along the path saw the white-haired young man wearing sunglasses and promptly parted ways to make room for him.

Only after Satoru Gojo had walked a long distance away did the people begin to whisper among themselves in small groups, still visibly shaken.

Kobe Suzuo watched the crowd part like Moses parting the sea to make way, she frowned slightly:

Merlin, what does Satoru-kun mean by that line?

Kobe Suzuo took a quick glance. He had almost no experience with artistic works like "anime" and didn't realize he had run into a quote.

Seeing Satoru Gojo walking further and further away, he straightened his clothes and got out of the car to chase after him.

“Send the plot synopsis and the dialogue sources of this anime to my email..”

Ahead, the youth walked alone, Kobe Suzuo's footsteps paused as she added:

Forget it, just send me the original footage directly. Also, turn all the relevant materials into a PDF and include a three-minute report.

As she spoke, Kobe Suzuo had already caught up to Satoru Gojo.

He lagged a few steps behind, his head slightly lowered, with his bangs falling over his eyes, making his aura appear less sharp.

Falling behind Satoru Gojo like an ordinary Assistant Supervisor.

The closer they got to the main hall, the louder the rustling sounds of discussion became.

Satoru Gojo was still wearing his Jujutsu High uniform, looking completely out of place among the circle of Jujutsu Sorcerers dressed in kimonos and suits.

It would be more accurate to say that he himself was already sufficiently "special."

The gazes of the people around him frequently drifted toward Satoru Gojo, but as if struck by intimidation, no one dared to approach him to offer a greeting.

Members of the Gojo Clan rushed over upon sensing the commotion, but the long-haired man leading them was stopped just as he attempted to bow to Satoru Gojo.

Don't use that kind of formal greeting." Satoru Gojo frowned. "I haven't said you could act as the head of the clan, have I?

Gojo Hirohira smiled, "It's only a matter of time."

He didn't dwell on the matter, "Do you want to change your clothes, Satoru-kun? It's still early before the start time."

Satoru Gojo had long been used to this attitude from his family members. He waved his hand dismissively, "No need, I'm just here to make an appearance and then I'll leave immediately."

He looked left and right, but since he didn't see those high-ranking officials who were always looking for trouble, he asked, "Where is that old orange who gave me the mission?"

Where is that old Orange who gave me the mission? Leaving everyone waiting in the courtyard without showing their faces—does he not hold anyone in high regard?

Satoru Gojo had no intention of lowering his voice at all. "How arrogant, he's completely unworthy of his position."

He glanced at Kobe Suzuo following behind him and said intentionally, "The new leader in the Director's Department, isn't his surname Kobe? Why don't we just cede all the power to him?"

The young man's lips curled into a smirk. "At least it'll reduce the number of times one acts stupid, right?"

Only Satoru Gojo would dare to discuss such a sensitive topic so loudly on the Director's Department's territory.
